Gecko Skills Sports Program is a series of supervised sport and recreation activities and games for young people across Gippsland.

Engage in fun, informal sports such as skateboarding, dodgeball, 3×3 basketball, badminton and spikeball, while benefiting from physical activity and social engagement.

The program responds to research which shows a big drop-off in sports participation at around the age of 14, which endures into adulthood for many people. The program aims to provide a massive range of social and modified sports at the right time, right place, and in the right style for many of these young adults across Gippsland, so they can get active and connected.

Our games are generally pretty short and sweet (2-15 minutes each depending on game type), we usually have one main game happening, but we also have heaps of smaller sidegames if you’re not much of a people-person, or you’re still getting comfortable with the group.
