One in four Australian kids starts school with a speech delay – ABC NEWS

Without timely support, children with speech and language difficulties are at risk of poorer literacy and learning and long-term disadvantages.

Morwell Park Primary School in regional Victoria, have implemented programs embedding speech therapy into the school setting, with teachers and aides delivering structured, evidence-based therapy, supervised by speech pathologists. These efforts have improved children’s confidence, behaviour, attendance, literacy, and academic outcomes.
